She is also an author and has written two books: “Written on Stone” and “Cardboard and Cigarettes”.

Eelkje’s, paintings have evolved seeing colours and landscapes as never before having found beauty in the magic of the unexpected.

The most important thing for her is that her work feels like it has lived through something. Even if just for a moment she wants the viewer to journey inward with her art.

Eelkje has exhibited in many group and solo shows through the years. Her work is held in public and private collections in both Canada and Internationally.
